Our Origin Story.

Once upon a forest…
Before we were farmers, we were protectors. Kifeca Cooperative was born from a group of locals who came together to defend the (name of forest) Forest and the land around it. We started as a Community Forest Management Group, united by a shared purpose: to protect what we love.

As the community grew stronger, so did our vision. We realized that protecting the forest also meant creating sustainable livelihoods for the people around it. So we began farming - not just for profits, but in a way that regenerates the land and supports our people.

Today, we grow vanilla, cocoa, and coffee beside the forest, in agroforestry systems that restore ecosystems, support families, and produce crops we’re proud to share with the world.

Kifeca Cooperative was registered in 2023 as a cooperative society based in Kyembogo Trading Centre, Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda. We unite farmers from all sub-counties of the district — organizing around shared values, improved access to markets, and fairer returns for our members.

What we stand for.

We farm with a code. Literally. Every member signs our Code of Conduct and follows these golden rules:

  • Pay fair. No child labour. No shortcuts.

  • Grow clean. Organic only.

  • Plant trees like the future depends on it. (It does.)

  • Work together. Win together.

We’re not here to be the biggest. We’re here to be the fairest, the forest-friendliest, and the most flavorful.

And yes - we’re entrepreneurial too. Always looking for new crops, new markets, and better ways to create value for our members.
